The precise explanations offered in this series on the six-stick chairs are very helpful indeed. Like having a conversation (one-sided notwithstanding) to flesh-out details and experience that either did not find a place in other sources on stick chairs, or that you say in a new way that makes the processes more precise. A valuable contribution to the literature on the subject, merci!
Clear and detailed explanation, thank you. I do like the last photo of you pensively gazing at your nice stick chair handwork.
Cheers,
Michael
I do a lot of pensive gazing in the workshop. Probably more of that than woodworking if I'm honest.

Thank you for those kind words Rob. Always good to know it’s useful to someone.
Loving your work. Do you happen to have an instagram account to follow? Best wishes.
Thank you. On Instagram I am @firstlightworks. There’s a link to it in the paragraph where I talk about my Instagram account.
How did I miss that 🙄. Just followed, thanks.
Yes, don’t we all do a lot of gazing and pondering in the workshop as to our next move.
Cheers.
Please excuse my ignorance but where do you get the octagon sticks ? Are they commercially available or do you make them.
Thanks
You make them. Start off with a 3/4" square section and plane the corners off, leaving you with an octagon. It's quick and easy work.
Got it. Thanks
